iTranslate is looking to hire an reviewer to be responsible for performing post-translation reviewing and editing of the content to ensure the translated content meets iTranslate’s standards, along with ensuring language accuracy and consistency.
Responsibilities
Receive source documents and translated documents from project manager for revision process.
Read and thoroughly understand the source, sentence by sentence and paragraph by paragraph, before reading the translated text.
Review and edit the translated text as the editor deem better or correct, based upon full understanding of the source text.
Conducting additional research upon the translator to ensure translator has performed research efficiently and got correct results.
Reviewing numerical data within the file, including values, figures, numbers and data included within tables, charts, drawings... etc.
Eliminate typos, double spaces,
Perform full proofreading during the text revision.
Fill-in the reviewer checklist, preparation of feedback report along with comments or recommendations and report to project manager.
Fill-in time sheets, upload translated files, feedback report, comments … etc. on the ERP system.
Assignment of tasks to translators and collecting translations back for review.
Coordinate delivery deadlines and team assignments with Project Manager.
Reporting directly to the Project Manager.
Issue monthly quality reports.
Requirements
Bachelor Degree (Masters or Higher Preferred)
+10 Years of Experience
Excellent understanding and command of source and target languages.
Accuracy and Attention to Detail,
Software Proficiency
